Hi all. Does anyone know a fix for this?

After installing kmail 2.1 all my mail was successfully
imported.

Unfortunately, a large number (but not all) of my old messages
refuse to lose the "unread" flag. Even if I open the message
the unread flag gets reset next time kmail starts (or if I update
the folder).

This is annoying, but it also makes filters less useful since I
can't tell if new mail is showing up in a folder. (not that filters
are working very well yet, but I assume they eventually will )

any help appreciated

Can't say I have the same problem...

What if you right-click the folder or the mail and mark the message(s) as read? Do they stay marked as read then?

I had the same problem when I migrated. Got rid of it by deleting anything kmail and akonadi related from my system und started all over again. Kmail/Akonadi is still full of bugs but that one has vanished.

This helped the same issue on my laptop.
