hi, i'm using kde 4.7 on kubuntu oneiric...i'm trying to restore akonadi backup using akonaditray but i have this error:


ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database '</tmp/kde-omega/akonadizlhe6k/db/database.sql'
akonaditray(3777) Restore::restore: Executed: "/usr/bin/mysql" ("--socket=/home/omega/.local/share/akonadi/socket-omg-lin/mysql.socket", "--database=akonadi", "</tmp/kde-omega/akonadiZLHE6k/db/database.sql") Result: 1

This appears to be a bug in the Akonadi data restore tool unfortunately. It is trying to use Bash syntax, which isn't working. Please try executing, in your terminal:

/usr/bin/mysql --socket=/home/omega/.local/share/akonadi/socket-omg-lin/mysql.socket --database=akonadi < /tmp/kde-omega/akonadiZLHE6k/db/database.sql

That should restore the backup.

your command restore fine backup but when i can't restore config file (for example account settings)...moreover i see that akonadi tool has problem to do a backup too...( missing bzip2 or mysqldump)...how can i restore config file or install akonadi tool with backup/restore working?

Unfortunately i'm not sure how to restore the configuration. Please send an email to the kdepim-users@kde.org mailing list regarding this.
