Contacts Missing, Akonadi Problem

Fri Aug 19, 2011 11:59 am
Hi all:
I am using a new install of Fedora 15 and KDE 4.6.5. My address/contacts/lists files are located in my /home/user/.kde/share/apps/kabc. Akonadi Configuration module has a Personal Contacts Grey colored icon that points to /home/user/.local/share/contacts. I have created a Address Book icon Grey colored that points to /home/user/.kde/share/apps/kabc/. I also have a Green Colored Personal Calandar icon which is not pointing to any thing. There is also a Local Folders icon which points to /home/user/.local/share/local-mail. This directory is empty. Mail is located in /home/user/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail.

Personally I am confused by akonadi. My goal is to get it working. To get my contacts back, my distrbution lists back, then to get my calandar working. Then I would like to get Google to update everyting. Then hopefully use my kde apps to update all my Google stuff on a continuous basis.

I hope someone can explain how it all works and get my setup working.
