Kmail2 how to treat conflicts

Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:42 pm
Hello,

i use KDE 4.7.0 with Kmail2. When I delete messages from IMAP account I get a "conflict" for each message I delete. I was told, there was a setting in Kmail2 to say Kmail2 how to treat conflicts. But I cannot find this option in Kmail2 settings.

Where in the Kmail2 settings is this option hidden? And what setting for this option do you recommend?

Thankx

I have the same issue and have not been able to locate any control over how to handle the conflicts.

Mine in addition to the annoying popup, will then occasionally cause Kmail to become unresponsive completely and the popup conflict message freezes on the screen. I have to kill Kontact in order to start it again.

The conflicts are most likely caused by the anti-spam setup, if you have it active. The developers are looking at how to solve this: the issue appears because the message is modified while it's still being retrieved from the resource.

I do NOT use any anti spam setup in Kmail. So this cannot be the source of the issue.

The issue is a result of poor design! It appears that the interaction with the akonadi system causes all sorts of trouble, this being one of them.

And don't get me wrong, I am a fan and mostly happy user of akonadi, and I do look forward to a working akonadibased mail system. It is just not there yet.
