Whenever I backup my machine, I've always included my ~/.kde4 folder.
With Akonadi having made its arrival, with an Akonadi object created for each of my KMail IMAP accounts, I have noticed lots of very frequently changing files in ~/.kde4/share/apps/kmail/dimap and ~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data Every time I do a backup, hundreds of files from these directories get backed up. I'm for sure not changing those files manually. I've read somewhere that these may be "cache files", that would get rebuilt anyway. Do I *need* to be backing these files up? |
