When I use the "remove duplicate messages" option within the folders menue,
I don't get any results but also no error messages. It just doesn't seem to work.

How can I fix this, I have a lot of duplcates because the migration hasn't gone that well ...

This worked well for years and years now and suddenly it's not important anymore? Not even worth a comment on that?

I have the same problem! I have tried this numerous times with two different akonadi server backends now (postgresql and mysql), but there is no reaction. Have you considered filing a bug report?
