Hello
The problem I'd like to ask about is similar to the one reported here in this forum, however the proposed solution therein unfortunatley doesn't work in my case. I have installed Kubuntu 11.10, which comes with KDE 4.7.1 and KMail 4.7.2, and I have configured French to be the only language of the system. I noticed that automatic spell check in new message windows, i.e. text with red underlining, works only for the subject field, but not for the message body field, although the status bar of the new message window says that automatic spell check is enabled. For the note, in System Settings > Locale > Country/Region & Language, and under Languages tab, French is the preferred language. Also, in System Settings > Locale > Spell Checker, French is the default language and automatic spell check is enabled. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. ~Sr90 |

Ok, I see the same on my system after installing 11.10.
Try this: Open up a new message window, select Settings...Spellchecker...then enable "Automatic spell checking enabled by default".
