Kmail has decided to stop sending email.
I'm using postfix/dovecot and all is configured properly. All on KDE 4.7.2 on Oneiric Kubuntu. The email just sits there in the outbox. Sending was working perfectly until I did an official update that done something to certificates a week or so ago. The problem isn't an error with email configuration. There are no errors being reported when starting the services. There are no errors reported when sending, just the email doesn't go. |

The problem is the email dispatcher agent. Here's how to fix this issue:
1. Open krunner (alt+f2) and type in "akonadi console". This should open the akonadi console. 2. You should see a warning that the application isn't really a end-user application. Say OK. 3. In the window that opens, find the email dispatcher agent. You should probably find that it's offline or something like that. You can either right click it and toggle it from offline to online, or just restart the agent. You can even remove it and re-add it using the buttons at the bottom of the window, but you shouldn't need to. 4. If the above went right, you should get a notification letting you know that the email that was sitting in your outbox was sent out successfully.
