Hi Folks,
I've done a quick read, but haven't found answers to these two issues, so I thought a new thread was appropriate. A couple of times now, I've had to move distro and take kmail with me. I've got mail going back to 2003 and I'm in all sorts of groups. I use kmail because it is light on its feet and, more importantly, the filters allow for forwarding to another address. I like kmail a lot. However, since a migration to kmail2 (which wasn't an easy affair) I've noticed that when I change systems now and port kmail over, there are two things which cause difficulties. 1) All the mail is marked unread. I've got to go through every single folder and right click them all. I've tried a search, to find all mail marked unread, (with the intention of right click and mark read) but that seems to want to start in the "search results" folder, and I get no further. I've love to just right click on a top level folder and have "mark all (and subfolders) read" 2) The filters always end up pointing at the wrong folders and I've got to put them right again. When you've got in excess of fifty rules, that process is a bit wearing. If anyone has any ideas on this, I'd be grateful. Currently implementation is xubuntu 32 bit, 11.10, kmail 4.7.2 |
