Hi ! (sorry again for my english !)
well, AlmAck, bad news, I can't resolve this problem... I can't find a solution... so, I save all akonadi/kmail config. delete all files after and restart akonadi. try to import back my mail (wih import with kmail or and add kmail dir) without succes. I successfull with other way. I install kubuntu 11.04 with virtualbox. no make update. launching kmail without create account. I just import all messages susscefully... I export one folder one by one. copy all by smb and import back to my kmail. then I create all my account. it's works fine now. now, I must create save script for don't lost any message... solved for me.

incredible, after writing the post above I have found the solution.
This are the step that worked for me: 1) open the akonadi configuration, cleanup all the resources not used or duplicated 2) remove the "local folder" resource 3) stop the akonadi server 4) restart akonadi 5) open kmail and manually add a new "local folder" service and select the correct mail directory enjoy |

Hi !
arrrghh !!!! you could have found the solution earlier !!! happy for you note : that can be used for others. edit : however, I have add "correct mail directory" ($HOME/.kde/share/kmail/mail) too but akonadi add "local folder" ($HOME/.local/share/local-mail") automatically... and don't display any message, just empty folders...

Hi jaja,
for the "local folder" issue: in my case all the local email are in $HOME/.kde/share/kmail/mail... when I added the new resource to akonadi I just put the path of this folder. After starting kmail you see only the folder structure but not the messages, this was also my case. Do a refresh and everything is shown correctly. To refresh go over the main folder and right-clic, select "update folder and subfolder" and kmail update all the folder contents. I hope this can help you. |

Hi
I make "update folder and subfolder" of course without success... now, local folders are empty. my message are storing in akonadi database.
