Hi,

I want to share all the mails with my wifes user account. With Kubuntu 11.04 / Kmail1 I managed this with a common folder which was linked to her and mine folders ~/home/username/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail.
In the Autostart folders I put a script that made a chmod -R 774 to the common folder.

Now I upgraded my system to Kubuntu 11.10 / Kmail2 + Akonadi where this solution doesn't work any more.

Can anyone tell me what I have to do to create a common database for both users without using e.g. kolab.

Thank you for your help.

Edit: 17.12.2011
I "solved" my problem with a change to thunderbird like many other users did.
Probably I won't come back to kmail.
