I see in 8 months no one has a good answer...
I also have the same issues. Coming from openSuse 11.4 (kmail 1.13.6, platform release 4.6.00) to openSuse 12.1 (kmail 4.7.2), nothing in my kmail setup has transferred. I have 43,000+ emails sorted into 45 folders. I have 99 filters set up sorting out incoming mail into these folders. Initially, nothing was working, and no POP/SMTP accounts were present. Setting up the POP/SMTP accounts again is no big deal. In $HOME/.kde4/share/config, copying kmailrc over kmail2rc appears to get all the filters, though I haven't tested any of them. What I cannot figure out is how to get any of the previous mail folders recognized. I added a new mail folder in kmail 4.7.2, and found that it placed it into $HOME/.local/share/.local-mail.directory/ And the layout of it looked similar to the layout from before. So I tried deleting $HOME/.local/share/.local-mail.directory/ and recreating that entry as a symbolic link to ~/Mail, which is where all my mail really lies. Still the "new/improved" kmail doesn't see my mail. What does it take to resolve this? |
