First of all, thank you for reading and possibly for answering this post.
After having migrated my gmail account from kmail to kmail2 of KDE 4.7.2 in openSUSE 12.1 x86_64, I notice that my incoming emails land into the ' [Gmail] / Important ' folder, whereas I'd have expected kmail2 to receive them into any Reception box, the one from the local folder or another in the gmail tree, but there is none. Is this behavior correct, or do I need to define a filter so that I can get my incoming emails where I want, or is there a glitch in my config ? Thx again for answering Best regards, Skylendar |

It looks like a glitch. Both of my setups (migrated and fresh) receive email from GMail correctly in the inbox.

You can specify where the incoming mail goes. You can get to it via....
Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Accounts -> Modify -> Advanced. The above assumes you are using POP.

Ok, thx for answering. I deleted and re-created the gmail account and an Inbox has been created as well. But so far, I don't know how to simply display, among all the pre-existing messages in the Inbox, which ones have been recently received. It worked fine on Kmail 1, though.
I could create a filter, but is there a straightforward solution for that ? |

You mean by sorting, or other means?

kmail 1 was able to show up the incoming email as soon as they arrive. I just wonder how to do that with kmail 2.
