I am porting from Task Coach, to KTimeTracker. In moving my "Notes" sections into KTime Tracker, I am not getting new lines consistently. I don't think this is a KTimeTracker issue as I am copy-n-pasting from TaskCoach.

How do I manually edit the comments section and insert a new line? Some of my notes from Task Coach are coming over with insane single line lengths!

Even when I change the heights of the affected columns, not everything is properly formatted.

Assistance is appreciated!

I can't finds the answer in the docs, and I have read them.....

I'm trying to edit the comments in KTimeTracker and manually add the new lines where needed.

KDE SC 4.7.4
KTimeTracker 4.7.2

Sincerely and respectfully,

Dave

As a family man, the KTimeTracker developer may not be around this week. If your need is desperately urgent you may be able to send one such note to me off-forum and I'll try to find an answer, but really Thorsten Staerk is your best bet, and hopefully he'll be back next week.

Everyone deserves time with their families. My kids are all grown, one is 34 to date myself.

My issue is NOT mission critical. For certain not in the here and now.

I do have a trick up my sleeve: I am going to open KWrite, and copy from Task Coach into KWrite, format it properly, and then copy from KWrite into KTimeTracker.

Some of my data in Task Coach is coming over formatted correctly, and I remember some of my notes were written in an external app, then pasted into Task Coach.

I'll report back if this experiment works.....

Thank you for responding.....

My issue is likely to be an obscure issue, and the issue has proven to be with Task Coach and not KTimeTracker.

Solution:

a) I copy the text from Task Coash into KAte.
b) Format it to how I like.
c) Copy n paste it from KAte into the comment section of KTimeTracker and the formatting is retained.

Problem Solved!

Sincerely and respectfully,

Dave
