For a while, with messages sorted on date received, kmail would select the next (chronologically ordered) message after I deleted a message. That would happen whether I deleted from inside a mesage or from the message list. Suddenly, after deleting, no message seems to be selected. Before I con go to the next message I must click on it.

This is a new problem, so something must have changed. Any idea what?

Solved. That is, the problem seems to have resolved itself. Today it is working as I expect. That is to say, when I delete a post the next post is selected.

Something is a little flaky however, because twice now the program as stopped selecting next posts, and both times it has cured itself. I would prefer that it work all the time.
