How it looks is all done by going to...
Settings -> Configure Kmail -> Appearance Select the tab appropriate to your wishes and carry on.

On the "Fonts" tab you have to put a check mark in the "Use Custom Fonts" checkbox. Then the "Apply to" dropbox is turned on and you can make your selection there. By "Active" can I assume you mean "Unread"? Or do you mean "Important" or "Action Item"?

hello
i did try "Fonts" tab you have to put a check mark in the "Use Custom Fonts" checkbox. Then the "Apply to" dropbox is turned on and you can make your selection there. By "Active" can I assume you mean "Unread"? nothing works....nothing....maybe it's a bug or error from file kmail2rc? |

At this point I would suggest comparing kmail2rc files to see what the crucial difference is. Have you tried resetting the colours back to default on the system it does not work on, then enabling custom fonts and making the desired change and finally restarting KMail?

hello
i'm back here. but i done to test and try for comparing, from kmail2rc(default) to kmail2rc (not work BOLD for unread email) there are difference buti dont know where is errore code.. but i done other test: i did add new archver zip for "config.zip" from folder "config" from /home/user/.kde4/share/. for backup "config". after zip i cancel folder "config". and start kmail2, i open new email to sent to return email for verify, kmail2 has sented email and check for inbox there is new email arrived but not work bold UNREAD...this mean: that kmail2rc(default) is default i havent modify but not work for bold unread...then for now problem is not kmail2 but problem from folder(maildir) maybe this is problem for kmail2 not work wih unread BOLD? |

KMail does not have the text bold by default. Did you reapply the Bold settings after changing the KMail settings file?

hello
i done your suggest but not work ...(i did reapply not work..) then.. ... i try other solution: new user for KDE beefore USER A and now i will add new user USER B , this will be work or same problem? |

Yes, you could try creating a new user and attempting to reproduce there. If you still cannot get it working, perhaps you may want to verify your system is fully up to date, and perhaps post a screenshot of what you are trying to get working.

I have experienced the same issue.
I cleared out pop3 account then cleared out "Local folders" account then recreated pop3 account and now I see new messages as unread. But I cannot send messages now it is telling "There were problems trying to queue the message for sending: Unknown collection." I do not know what caused this as I was able to send before. BR. OK... I have learned the "Unknown collection" issue is about akonadi. Just a simple log out/in solved. Maybe restarting akonadi process would do the same. |
