Not a good thread description, I know, but I don't really know what to do with this.
Since the update to 4.8.0, every plaintext email I get begins like this:
or, when there's an attachment
In that area that shows the message structure, there's only a text document of about the size of the original document with the original filename. Saving it with a .xls suffix will NOT give me back the original file, just a text file with the wrong ending. Please tell me the attachement is not GONE but just improperly displayed ![]() All this does not happen with mails I had received before this update, so it's not simply a matter of wrong presentation. [A second issue is that it just presented me with about 10 dialogs telling me there was no item to be displayed. Haven't investigated on that any further, I'm not sure it happens every time I boot up (but it has happened more than once)]. How do I get my mails back? Thanks. Edit: Update. The plaintext message is properly displayed if there is also an HTML version in that same email. |

Looks like there's some bug in content type parsing. If you have a non-confidential email of little size that exhibits the problem, it would be wise to open a bug on bugs.kde.org and attach it so that the developers can see what triggers this improper display.
