I have Arch Linux and i have just upgraded to KDE 4.8. Everything works just fine except this minor annoying issue. When i get mail i have to wait for about 10 seconds to see it in notification text on the screen. I have colibri theme for notificication. This problem was not present in the 4.7 version. When i upgraded i didn't delete .kde4 folder. I use the old one from 4.7 version. Is this the problem?

A ~/.kde4/ folder from a earlier version of KDE should be upgraded as applications start or you login - so it should work fine.

If you use non-Colibri notifications do you see the same behaviour?

Yes, if i disable colibri the lag is the same.
