In my KJots setup I have too many... what are those things called that books are in? They are titled "Local Notes" and "Notes" in the navigation pane on the left. However, I have two of them entitled "Local Notes", but I only want one of them, and I have another titled "Notes", which I don't want at all.

How do I delete them please.

You will need to use "Akonadi Console" to do this. You should be able to use it to remove the Notes book which you do not need.
