I would like to have something like "delete from server" action in filters.
It would be useful to remove, for example, emails about SVN commits/ bugreports/ notifications from server side. OS: Kubuntu 11.10 KDE: 4.8.0 KMail: 4.8.0 E-Mail Account Type: POP3 |

Hi,
You already have this option available. Just create a filter, define the pattern you want to search for in your e-mails and then define the action for the filter by indicating that you want to *move* the email to a local folder. This will automatically remove the e-mail from the server. You may need to configure a local e-mail account in kmail. For that issue go to the kmail configuration dialog and create a new Kmail maildir account. Best, Luis |

Hello, I have configured filter and as "Filter Actions" added "Move Into Folder" to move mails into "Local Folders/svn". But it just move email from inbox to specified folder. EMails are still in email-server. In my opinion actions in filter must be atomic and "Move into folder" shouldn't delete mails from server. There should be action "delete from server" or "Mark as deleted". |
