I just updated to KDE 4.8 and now korgac (the reminder daemon for korganizer) pops up for every event I configured in kalarm.
I think, the problem is, that kalarm now uses akonadi. Is there a way to separate korganizer and kalarm??

my guesss (as I don't use KOrganizer) Kalarm -> settings -> edit -> general -> uncheck "show in KOrganizer"

No, this option is disabled.
But looks like restarting akonadi/recreating kalarm calendars solved the problem.
