kmail off line

Tue Feb 21, 2012 11:22 am
Hello,
Is it possible to make email messages available off line using Kmail (as in Thunderbird for instance) ?
Thanks for your help.

KMail is available offline if you select Disconnected IMAP instead of IMAP for your account type in KMail 1.x. The KMail 2.x series includes caching as part of it's core - so just select a ordinary IMAP account.

I add that you have to tick "enable disconnected mode" in the account settings (not sure if it's default) to activate this functionality.

I created a new «disconnected Imap» account and I now have access to my emails off line.

Many thanks.
