Hi,
I use OpenSuse 12.1 with KDE 4.7.x. Recently I’ve started to use KJots and did not use it before migration. That is I had no notes in ~/.kde4/share/apps/kjots All my notes are stored in: ~/.local/share/.notes.directory/ Because I had a real mess with my Akonadi resources I removed many many of them that were related to notes. As Akonadi is only a layer there should be no problem. Interestingly, when I ran KJots migrator, it created a profile under: ~/.local/share/notes and all new notes are now stored there. But the AkoNotes resource can’t detect the old notes when I copy them to the new location. The structure is actually created as folders (in KJots) but with no content. So how can I import notes from the old location to the new one? I have them and I can read them with KMail viewer. Thanks in advance! |

Can you please try opening "akonadiconsole" after copying the files manually, and selecting the new notes resource and selecting "Synchronise" to see if that does anything?

Thanks! Synchronization has helped!
Though the book icons don’t look like a book but normal Oxygen folders, it’s not a big problem. ![]() Could you tell me please why data is stored in ~/.local/share now, not in ~/.kde(4) as it used to be? |

Because these are the XDG standard locations I believe - which is in fitting with Akonadi being a generic application which can be used by non-KDE applications as well as KDE applications.
