Hello forum,
I have an openSUSE 12.3 KDE 64bit installed on my laptop, which doesn't have indicator of caps lock key state. I'm trying config desktop->Application and System Notification->Application tab->Event source: Accessibility-> A lock key has been activated->play a sound. But this notification system doesn't capture the event of pressing any lock key/modifier key when I press them. "play sound", "pop up a notification" neither works. The event is just not detected. While these keys themselves all work well. Where should I look at please? |

Can you check to see if "kaccess" is running on your computer? It is a background process, and as such will only be visible in System Activity or KSysguard.

Maybe this helps:
https://forums.opensuse.org/english/get ... -work.html ? [quoteIn addition to what I have done above, you need to go to configure desktop->accessibility->Tab 'modifier keys'->Tick the last line "use KDE's system notification mechanism whenever..."[/quote] |
