Howdy,

I'm using Kazam as a screencast but it doesn't contain on ant keyboard shortcut so I'm wondering can I add a keyboard shortcut for it?

P.S.

• I asked Kazam folks but no one answered.
• I don't want to make a fork and hack Kazam itself

This is the wrong place to ask as Kazam is not a KDE application.

I did, however, find something on a quick google search, referring to something called "Keybinder-3" that apparently enables some form of shortcuts (http://www.twm-kd.com/linux/kazam/kazam-screencaster-is-there-anything-new/) but I honestly couldn't tell you anymore (I didn't even knew about Kazam until a few minutes ago).

If you don't get a reply through the "Answers" section on Launchpad (which does seem to be monitored by the developers), you can try asking on the IRC channel (#kazam on irc.freenode.net).

Actually I absolutely know that but I supposed KDE folks may face similar issue with non-KDE applications specially when I discovered that "Keybinder-3" doesn't work with KDE
