Title pretty much says it all. I want to know if I can create voice actuated devices using the RPi's GPIO pins. Vocabulary would be 10-50 words.

I sadly don't have a Raspberry PI to test it but it most definitely would. For the given vocabulary size you might even get away without further performance tuning but if you have to, pocketsphinx (usable through Simon) has got you covered too.

In other words: Yes. You may have to tune some parameters but yes, it will.
