Dictation for Simon 0.4

Sun Feb 21, 2016 2:34 pm
Hello,

I contacted Peter Grasch and he asked me to contact Mario Fux instead.
I am looking for the dictation plugin Peter was last working on for Simon 0.4.
I am helping an elderly man automate dictation in Linux.

I turned on the dictation.
It works for commands built into the various scenario.
I am downloading the files for full english dictation.
I have no idea where to install them to or how to select them.
Any help appreciated.

I have downloaded all of the files at http://files.kde.org/accessibility/Simon/
I have built an acoustic model using the individual vox files.
I added the ensemble_wiki_ng_se_so_subs_enron_congress_65k_pruned_huge_sorted_cased.lm file as a language profile to the acoustic model.
I have loaded the scenario called en_dictation_proto.scenario.
I have created a shadow dictionary using cmudict.hub4.06d.dict.
I am still unable to take dictation.
All help appreciated.
Running TeamViewer for Linux if someone can provide remote support.

ok,

I found the .sbm file that is called DictationDemo.
I got it to become the base model.
However, in the demo video it is listed as the active model.
The base model is listed as something else.
Can you help me get this set?

It takes dictation but gets all the words wrong at this point.

UPDATE:

It is working but has a VERY limited vocabulary.
In Peters Demo video he read off a paragraph from a news article with no problems.
I am not sure I have the dictionary loaded into the right location.
There is also a .languageprofile file for the dictionary, I have no idea where that goes.
Still need some help.
