I just deinstalled 1.3.4 and checked the install dir was deleted on WinXP, then installed 1.4.0
The setup file is named:
marble-setup-1.4.0.exe
the entry in Control Panel, Install applications show:
Marble (remove only)
without versions,
running the program, and goes to Help menù, About,
still show version 1.3.4

Whats wrong?

Just checked it (using wine), you're right. I filed Bug #306399. Unfortunately our Windows packager is on vacation right now, so it'll take some days to get resolved.

Bernhard uploaded version 1.4.1 for Windows which should be the latest stable version. Can you give it a try? http://edu.kde.org/marble/download.php

this is marked 1.4.1 and work.
