Dear developers in Marble community,
I'm a 3ed Ph.D. student who wants to apply SOCIS'13 this year. I have already installed Marble 1.5.5 (stable version) based on the instructions in this link http://marble.kde.org/sources.php . Then I notice that there is the branch for SOCIS student. However, what is the branch's name for SOCIS in this year. I tried to run "git clone -b esasocis-2013-marble git://anongit.kde.org/marble ~/marble-socis/sources". But it doesn't work. Regards Dizhi |

Can you please explain what is not working in the Git cloning and checkout procedure? Assuming the branch name is correct, it should succeed.

Hi Dizhi,
welcome to Marble development Please check out the master branch. The gsoc-$year-$topic and esasocis-$year-$topic branches have been created by the respective students working on the project, but only after they were accepted for the program. ESA SoCiS hasn't started yet, so master is the reference branch for now. |

Hi Earthwings,
Thanks for your quick response. I also reply to your message in another post: viewtopic.php?f=217&t=112088. Would you help to look at this issue? Regards Dizhi
