marble globe as desktop background, only satellite view

hello people, I need help with this.
OS: opensuse 13.1 - - - KDE 4.12.
I have reinstalled marble, but it still does not work.

I have the same issue, tried removing my marble rc and apps folder and then removing and reinstalling Marble, no change. nor did it work for a different user

I also attempted to switch from satellite to nightview in both Arch, and Gentoo - it will look like it took in the folder view settings, but will not change the desktop wallpaper.

The bug should be fixed in the next bugfix release of KDE, i.e. KDE SC 4.12.2. Thanks for reporting!
