Marble's LGPL License & My Source Code Distribution?

Hi all,

I would like to develop an application using the Marble Globe widget. Namely, I would be building a stand-alone application in Qt C++ with a subclass inhereting the MarbleWidget class, thereby showing the marble globe within a single program, and using its API throughout the program.

I intend to link to the .so library files created by marble dynamically.

Would this be allowed under Marble's LGPL license? I would like to keep my source code and distribute the object files. Would this require me to disclose my source code, as in requiring me to use the LGPL license for my own source code?

Thank You.

As long as you _don't_ modify the source code of the Marble library itself and as long as you link dynamically (and not statically) against the Marble library this is allowed by the LGPL license. That's what the LGPL is about after all :)

Thank you - I was looking for a verification of my understanding of the LGPL license.
