Connect external GPS

Sat Apr 11, 2015 7:11 pm
Hi
I just got a Windows 8 Tablet and a GPS Bluetooth mouse from a friend delivered to Namibia.
I want to pair it with Marble and to use it as a realtime-navigation tool for my motorcycle travels through Africa.

Unfortunately I could not to get data to the application. The receiver is paaring successfull with the provided GPS-Tools on COM12 and I can read out the data.
Would be happy, if there is a way, to connect with Marble too! Its such a fantastic tool!
Greetings from Omaruru

Hi,

Right now we just support gpsd for providing positions. There is also the "Flightgear" integration which might use the NMEA protocol. Maybe that could be of help (then again I'm not really familiar with our GPS support).
