I have QML project with Marble that loads offline OSM maps.

For quite some time I get random crashes pointing to marblewidget-qt5.dll, in my observation...
- when the current marble view is not visible.
- when in the middle of loading maps

Is there something I need to check or do to avoid crashing?

I use LinuxMint 17.2 with KDE. Marble functioned well a few days ago, then today it crashes every time I try to open it. I am a happy home-user with no computer skills, so that is just bad luck. I did manage to see that I was using the OSM-map though, just before the screen went Boom!
