Cannot parse osm nominatim result

Fri May 18, 2018 2:34 pm
It seems that marble doesn't find any addresses anymore. No matter if I enter an address in the route planner or try to get an address from clicking in the map, it says "Keine Ortsmarke gefunden". The output from the command line reads "Cannot parse osm nominatim result", and I have no idea how to locate the problem. I'm on opensue leap 42.3 with the 18.04 applications, but this problem existed already in the previous release. I love marble; therefore, any clue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the note. In the meantime I've fixed this issue inside the source code of all recent Marble versions.

The reason for the issue was that the nominatim service started to use https by default while marble expected the http protocol in the source code.

This means that in order to get hold of the fix a new Marble executable needs to be downloaded/compiled. The bugfix is available at:

https://github.com/KDE/marble/commit/44 ... 5f77f1bc72

We hope that packagers will pick up the change into recent builds/packages.
