I cannot checkout Marble via SVN. I used the following svn link (found on http://edu.kde.org/marble/obtain.php):

svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/4.5/kdeedu/marble

Is the server dead?

Also, http://edu.kde.org/marble/obtain.php states the following:
As an alternative you can download a compressed archive of the source code on our Download Page.

If I go to the download page I cannot find the compressed archive. Is the archive removed?

Forgot to mention. I got the following error while checking out (it is in the German language):
Code: Select all
Can't read from connection: Eine vorhandene Verbindung wurde vom Remotehost geschlossen.

I use TortoiseSVN under Windows XP. With that program and internet connection I've no problems in checking out for instance https://svn.kflog.org/svn/repos/kflog2/.

Please try again, the anonsvn server DNS has selected for you can become temporarily unavailable sometimes. Trying again usually results in getting a different server.

Thanks for the response. I found out what the problem was: at my work the svn:// connection is blocked and the https:// not. At home I had no problems in checking out Marble.

There is still a mistake on http://edu.kde.org/marble/obtain.php (see first post of this thread). Who can I contact for this or do I have to file a bug report?

I suggest sending an email to marble-devel@kde.org
