Hi,
in "Help->Switch Application language", one seems to be able to change the language. Unfortunately there is no other language available than American English for me and I didn't find any hint how to add new languages. Can anybody tell me how to install a new language? Best Regards, DaGeRe |

this is afaik a ubuntu specific addon. you'll need to install language packages for kdevelop (if there are any available). please ask your distribution people.

When I googled for a package that makes translations, I found this: http://www.gentooforum.de/artikel/96/kd ... 2-1-3.html For me, it worked to just make "sudo apt-get install kde-i18n-de" for making kdevelop german, but like the forum thread says, it somehow isn't working for everybody.
/EDIT: And I am using Ubuntu, but the kde-translation-things seem to be kde-specific, at least they work also under ubuntu. And I also saw it working under SuSe at another Computer. |

This functionality is provided by KDE upstream, however it depends on the appropriate language pack being available, as well as the application having been translated into that language I believe.
Once you have installed a language pack, you should be able to switch to it immediately, at worst you may need to logout and back in again for it to show up. Note that if the translation shipped by your distribution for your language is incomplete (due to the translation being incomplete at KDE at the time of packaging), then untranslated American English strings will be shown.
