I just upgraded my Kubuntu (precise/12.04) from 4.8 to 4.9 (KDevelop 4.3.1)

A project that built fine last night now no longer builds with the error:
No rule to make target `/usr/lib/libkdeui.so.5.8.0'

There's nothing apparent in the CMakeLists.txt that would suggest an actual libkdeui version and libkdeui.so.5.9.0 is what I appear to have installed.

How's the dependency generated - maybe a KDE cmake module?

In the build directory (not the source directory) run this command to update the CMakeCache.txt file:
Code: Select all
cmake .

If this fails, you may need to remove the entire build directory and rebuild it entirely.
