Hello

I have started to experience a problem recently when debugging with kdevelop.
The debugger becomes very slow, taking up to a minute, in jumping between lines in my code.
I always see kdevelop producing the following message to my terminal:

kdevelop(49943)/kdevelop (gdb debugger) GDBDebugger::BreakpointController::update: can't parse location "Your GDB is too old"

I am not so sure that I am running anything that is too old.
I am using develop 4.5
on kdevplatform 1.5,
and my gdb is 7.4-2012.04

I acknowledge that I was running a older version of gdb, which I updated, as I was trying to resolve the above issue.
The problem however still persists.

Any help would be appreciated, and lots of thanks for your great work.

I'm having the same problem, using the following versions:
Qt: 4.8.5
KDE Development Platform: 4.10.5
KDevelop: 4.5.1
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.6

Is there a list of compatible Versions of KDevelop and GDB, so I can down-/upgrade one of the components to get a working configuration?

My kdevelop also suddenly became unusually too slow. I don't know what exactly causes this behavior, but removing kdevelop sessions seems to get it working again.

Code: Select all
$ rm -r ~/.kde4/share/apps/kdevelop/sessions/
