I'm using an SDK for developing on a certain platform which uses a wrapper around GCC. This wrapper passes a macro with the -D option of GCC. Also, my Makefile passes another macro with -D. Is it possible to tell KDevelop that these macros are defined, even if they're not defined in any of my code?

As far as I know the "Custom Build System" project manager allows you to do that. It might be in an extra package.

I know that, and I even used it in an older version of KDevelop, but when I tried compiling the latest version (1.2.2), running cmake gave me an error:
I don't want to downgrade (the newest version has a lot of useful features), so I hope there's another method of telling Kdevelop custom macros. |

Aah, no, I remember -- we merged it into kdevelop for 4.5. It should always be available there.

So it's built in to KDevelop? How do you use it?
EDIT: Found it. I deleted .kdev4 directory and the .kdev4 file, and when I import my project there's an option for Custom Buildsystem, and I can just add the make commands and custom defines from Project->Open Configuration |

Yeah, exactly, you select the project manager when you create the project. Sorry for not mentioning that
Good thing you found it.
