When committing changes to vcs in kdevelop, I can choose which files will be included in the commit.
At some point, when committing, I got a nice view (was it Patch Review??) showing all the changes in each of the files (with nice icons on the side of changed lines). This led me to think, that it might be possible to selectively commit only some changes to a given file (like it is possible from, e.g., git-cola). However I haven't found out a way to do this (moreover, I don't even get the nice dialog anymore, just a dialog listing changed files but without a way to see the changes). So my questions are: 1) Is there something I am doing wrong (e.g. how to get back the nice dialog) 2) Is it possible to selectively commit changes to a file or should I file a feature request in bugzilla? (for the record I am running kdevelop Version 4.5.60 which I comipled from sources) |

Can you screenshot the view you get? In what I have, you can click the changed files to see the changes, and you can also click the icons next to the changed lines to revert the changes.

Now that I closed develop and opened it again, the view went back to the one you describe. I guess there is some problem with my installation... > and you can also click the icons next to the changed lines to revert the changes. Yes, that now works, but it is not really what I would like. I do not want to revert the changes, I only want to select what changes go into a given commit. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply. And thanks for your work on kdev-python, kdevelop is amazing and so is the python support!!! |

I guessed -- because that's what I want to do too but as far as I'm aware kdevelop can't do that currently.
