Is impossible to create a shortcut for the kate's snippets : why?

Why? There's a button to configure a shortcut. Does it not work?

I don't know if this is what the scummos meant, but I can't use a shortcut with snippets. For instance, I added Ctrl+Meta+i as the main shortcut for a snippet, but when I press this key combination while in the editor, the snippet is not inserted.

Hmm! Yes, this seems indeed broken, at least it doesn't work for me either. You should report a bug.

Yes, it must be a bug. There a couple of bugs filed around the web. I found this: permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.kde.devel.kwrite/35638 . It currently doesn't load but you can find it in google's cache: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/s ... en&ct=clnk There doesn't seem to be an answer yet. Is this bug enough?

I think an actual bug report on bugs.kde.org would be preferrable.
