Hi,
I have installed SUSE 13 and KDevelop Version 4.5.2 using KDE Development Platform 4.11.5. I want to start using KDevelop for C++ development. The first thing I tried was to checkout a project from subversion using 'Fetch project'. I entered a svn://<repos> url and impressively it showed a file dialog and allowed me to browse the remote repository. However when I selected the project and clicked OK it said: Remote files not accepted You can only select local files I understand what that means, but it is a show stopper limitation for me. Is this correct? or have I tried to access the repository wrongly? I've searched the forums, FAQs and Google and could not find anything about access using svn://<repo> urls. If it is really not supported yet, how can I find out if it on the wishlist and get an idea of when it might be? Regards, Martin. |

Hm, don't know what you did, but it wasn't what it is intended to be used
1) enter a local directory in "Destination" 2) enter your SVN URL in "Source", ignore the file dialog unless it is local 3) click Get 4) click Next 5) select a file or folder to import the project from into KDevelop, i.e. just the folder or a CMakeLists.txt or similar file. Greetings!
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Hi,
Thank you very much for getting back so quickly. I see now, obvious really. Anyway glad it is supported and thanks for a great IDE. Just what I was looking for. Martin. |
