Parsing is slower than with 4.7 version, what can I do?

I updated to 5.0 a few days back and now
If I change or past a variable it takes several seconds for kdevelop to highlight it, sometimes even more. Does it recompiles the whole page now with every edit? http://i.imgur.com/qvIOL23.gifv

Also how do I make it to automatically invoke autocompletion, when I type dot?(in the gif I press ctrl+space with automatic invocation enabled in the settings)
And why showing methods takes several seconds for autocompletion, after I pressed ctrl+space and it shows some suggestions but not methods?

And of course I can't change number of jobs by background parser from 4 to 2 but there is a bug report for it already, 4 slow downs everything to a crawl on my 4GB machine.

And one minor question, when I change number of jobs for make, I choose 2 and it compiles with -j1, when I choose 1 it compiles with -j1 again and for 3 it uses -j3, is it supposed to be like that and -j2 is impossible? I'm not very familiar with it.

Also can I enable breakpoint icons on selected lines like in the previous version. I would roll back, but I need to roll back a lot of stuff that now 5.0 like kf and other.

Thank you for a new version! I wasn't prepared for so many slow downs though.

It always did update the whole document. What you see there is mostly the delay before the parser kicks in; it will do so faster when you type a semicolon or a newline (because it guesses that is a better point in time to reparse the code). This behaviour is new and somewhat experimental. If people find it annoying, we can certainly tune it.

Yes, in some cases the completion is quite slow. We're working on improving that; it's an issue we are aware of. The suggestions you get at first are just the text-based suggestions, those are always available instantly.

Can't help you with the make thing right now, sorry.

Also can I enable breakpoint icons on selected lines like in the previous version.

That feature is still as before, just enable the icon border in the settings dialog.

Greetings,
