I have my own git repository, I just tried to clone it into a local directory so I can use kdevelop with it. I added the clone url into the 'source' field and pressed 'Get'

There's no request to set the user/password for the repository so I can't proceed, is there any issue or a I am doing something wrong?

Note: I'm on 5.0.3 appimage

You could try http://user:password@domain.tld/path/

Maybe that works. If not, please submit a bug report about this!

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Great, that worked, only thing is that the password has been stored in clear (with the url), in this case, since my url is in http too, it isn't too important, but i would be nice to have a master key to save both the remote servers passwords and the git ones.
Shall I open a bug for this feature? What do you think?

Makes sense, we could integrate KWallet here.

Please file a wish on https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=kdevelop -- thanks!
