Just installed Kdevelop on Manjaro and I'm struggling with a few things:

Every time i click on a file it opens in Kate, I'd like to use the integrated editor...

Tried to reinstall several time to get rid of messed up settings but they keep coming back.

Sounds like screwed-up mimetypes or something, can you do "kmimetypefinder foo.cpp" or so? Also, please try the AppImage from kdevelop.org/download ...

I have a similar problem as micaeln, with Kdevelop on openSUSE 15.1.
I have problem opening .C files, while other file types are opened correctly in the integrated editor.

With "kmimetypefinder foo.C" I get "text/x-c++src (accuracy 100)".
I tried with the AppImage, but the .C files are still opened in Kate.
