Can KDevelop automatically generate the build configuration for a project like other IDEs do? In a lot of them, when you are working in a project, the IDE handles the adding and removing of files for you and you just have to click Build. It doesn't seem like this is the case in KDevelop, but I am asking to be sure.

Thanks

No, not the case, KDevelop just supports you in writing cmake. We used to have some kind of automatic helpers for adding files to cmake, but it got lost along the way. We believe build systems are too complex to create them automatically or for it to be feasible to click around in a GUI to set them up, at least in the general case.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.
