kdevelop and graphical projects

Fri Jun 30, 2017 1:22 pm
Hello everybody,

I'm new of this forum. I have a question about kdevelop.
I work with ubuntu 16.04 and i've installed kdevelop using the Ubuntu Software Centre. However launching Kdevelop to create a new project i've no the possibility to make a KDE GUI project. In other words, going to New Project -> General -> Category kdevelop show me only two possibility: standard and QT.
I'd like to create a KDE GUI project.
Please, can you tell me if I need of other packages to install ? maybe kdevelop-dev ? or i need to set options in the configure panel ?

I hope you can assist me.

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Vincenzo

I apologize with you ... I try to be more precise. My problem is that kdevelop doesn't show me the application wizard that allows to choose the project forms, textual, GUI, etc....

Maybe "kapptemplate"? That contains some example apps. Since KF5 though, there's no concept of a "KDE application" any more.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Hello scummos,
thanks for your reply.

As you can see at https://www.kde.org/applications/develo ... ptemplate/, kapptemplate should be integrated into Kdevelop environment.
Why it is not present in my installation ?
However I try to install it separately.

Thanks in advance.

Vincenzo.

It integrates into the project template system, but it is usually a separate package you need to install. Search your package manager for "kapptemplate".
