You don't have to do the debugging and digging through the code, just write down an example on how to reproduce the difference here and when I find the time I will look into it. The issue annoys me as well.

Well, the only way I've found is just to install juci++, and then opening https://github.com/MalcolmMielle/Auto-Complete-Graph into it. The completion looked fast enough that I instantly got color (but that might only be due to gtk-sourceview maybe, not sure) and auto-complete and typing something like "this->" in any function in the file "src/ACG.cpp".
