Hi,
I've recently started using kdevelop as my IDE and ive been enjoying the app.
Today I was running into some trouble with my program so i tried to debug.
I installed lldb and ran the debugger.
When I start the debugger i get the following output:

Code: Select all

error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment.
SDL could not initialize! SDL_Error: No available video device
*** Exited normally ***

I've fixed my program without the debugger and it runs fine with just execute, but when i try the debugger i just get the same error
I was wondering what ive done wrong in my setup to make debug not work.
Was unable to find anything on google/forum.
Any help would be appreciated

I never saw that error myself, but I wonder if its really kdevelop related, or not more about your projects?

What kind of projects are you trying to debug?
Are you using SDL in your project?

if you don't ... maybe are you running on Wayland?
shot in the dark here, but I would look at related dependencies of SDL to catch where the problem is
