When I look at the list of available/loaded plugins under help, git is not listed. "Fetch project" won't accept a git source.

Tried looking in the KDE Neon repositories, but nothing so obvious as "kdevelop-git" stood out. I also tried uninstalling KDevelop from the software center and re-installing it. This is for version 5.3.1.

Do you have git installed?

You could try using the AppImage. When you have git installed, this should work.

You can also look in the "Settings -> Configure Plugins" dialog, and in "Help -> Loaded Plugins".
